How should I pronounce "Paillas" and "Cahors"?
Paillas is pronounced PA-YAS and Cahors CA-OR.

What means "terroir" ?
Terroir, a very typicaly french word coming from "terre" (that means land or earth), is used to define the complex mix between soil, climate, vegetal and the know-how of the winemaker.

Cahors AOC ? What is it ?
AOC (Appellation d'Origine Controllée) which can be translated as regulated place name is the highest grade for french wines. It is a guaranty of quality and origin : For example, a wine classified "AOC Cahors" is made with Malbec grapes that grown in Cahors Area and with a traditionnal winemaking...
